Utilities- Dual 12V/120V electrical system with a 12V battery backup in case of power outages. With the battery backup, you can sustainably run the tiny house off grid in conjunction with solar or a generator. 12V components: water heater, propane furnace, water pump, most lighting, toilet. If power is available, the electrical system will trickle charge the 12V backup; when a power outage happens the system automatically switches to the 12V backup so you don’t lose power. I am hooked up to the grid with Hydro One, my quarterly (3 month) usage is about 15$ in hydro. This tiny house was designed to be run on or off grid.
