Solar Powered Eco Dwelling
The future of housing is changing as homeowners opt for sustainable and environmentally conscious dwellings over traditional housing, which is often hard on the power grid and in some cases, unaffordable and burdensome — a term that some have called “the rat race”. Instead, many people are looking at the variety of alternative dwellings they can choose from like tiny homes, shipping container homes, yurts, converted buses and more. Solar powered eco-dwellings such as this SEED hybrid home are also popping up and we are happy that the innovation keeps improving and becoming more diverse.
Developed by Australian enterprise Prodengin, the SEED(Solar-powered Expandable Eco Dwelling) was developed as an affordable dwelling — a self-sustaining, solar powered, multi-purpose home available in convenient sizes which can be easily towed behind a tow vehicle.
This is a dual axle unit at 5.5m long and 2.4m wide. Solar-powered, it can produce a maximum of 2kWh per hour of energy when mobile and 5kWh per hour of energy once expanded. It comes standard with a kitchen, shower area, water closet and two king beds. The SEED-5500’sstandard facilities can be substituted for your own interior design which we can build for you or they can be excluded entirely from the SEED-5500 product to allow you to build your own interior.
The solar powered home can literally unpack itself in a few moments making it a great option for those looking into a mobile lifestyle.
The SEED expands to 3 times its size on command. Apart from housing- it can also be used for helping refugees, as a travelling shop/ business or in emergency situations. To learn more visit the Prodengin Website.
