About the Listing:
Spray Foam insulated all sides
34ft long commercial shipping container (we cut 6ft off the one end). Outside Dimensions 103″ W 115 “T 34.5 L
Inside Dimensions 90″ W 106″ T 33.5 L
All 6 sides have spray foam insulation (2″ under floor, 1.5″ on sides, 3.0” on roof) on the outside of the original steel walls. Holds heat perfectly at very low cost. We paid $4100 to have this done 8 years ago. Therefore this would be an ideal solution for a covid office or a backyard bunkie or any application that needs climate control.
As you can see from the pictures we also installed vinyl siding (to cover the foam) although it has been “beat up” over the years and will need to be repaired. We paid $2300 to have the siding installed 8yrs ago.
For additional roof permanence we installed a 0.125″ roll of EPDM rubber roofing but it will also need to be re-attached in conjunction with the siding.
As you can see, we also added 2 commercial steel doors at the back and the side. The cost to do this was $1800.
Finally, as you can see, there is a electrical pony panel, with breakers to several circuits (lighting and receptacles).
This can be easily moved by using any high-lo loading bed. siding will need to be secured during transport.
Bottom line… if you purchase 40ft hi-cube container today you will pay $5000-6000. We are including all the other benefits (insulation, roofing, doors, siding and electric) for $2500.
You wont find a lower cost, insulated solution. I know, I know… we’re being too kind. Just pay it forward
