We are Albertans who have embraced the tiny home movement since 2010 when we bought a tiny house in Hawaii on 1.1 acre of private, treed land on the Big Island (Hawaii Island).
Our tiny home is for rent and we would love other Canadians to experience the joy of spending some time away from the freezing weather. It’s not hard to love!
It’s an off grid, solar powered, rainwater catchment home (zero utility bills) that’s professionally finished and easy to feel comfortable in. There are a ton more things to share but contact us or check out this website for more info on the area: http://stayhawaii.com/page-things-to-do-%26-see-in-puna-hi-16.html All of the attractions listed are within 30 minutes drive of our tiny house.
In addition, if you are a diehard tiny home lover, we have enough land that we could lease out a section for your own tiny home. Puna, the area we are in is very flexible and people of all ages and lifestyles live in every kind of structure imaginable from standard bungalows to yurts, earthbag homes to VW buses. It’s definitely tiny home heaven.

If you haven’t been in this area we would strongly recommend renting first to see how the community fits your expectations.
